We have received confirmation from FortisBC regarding changes to their residential rebate lineup. Due to overwhelming demand, Dual Fuel and Income-Qualified rebates are being discontinued mid-December.

Major FortisBC Rebates End December 18, 2025
Effective December 18, 2025, FortisBC is discontinuing specific residential rebates.
To qualify, you must have your new equipment installed AND your application submitted via fortisbc.com/onlineforms by 11:59 PM on December 18, 2025.
Applications received after this cutoff will sadly not be accepted.
Programs Ending in December
If you are planning any of the following upgrades, you need to book your installation immediately:
Residential Dual Fuel Heating Systems: The rebate for hybrid systems (heat pump combined with a gas furnace) is ending.
Residential Connected Thermostats: Standalone rebates for smart thermostats are being removed.

Some Rebates Are Extended: Connect to Gas
There is some good news! The Connect to Gas rebate program has been extended to March 31, 2026 (For homeowners currently using oil or propane as their primary heating source).

Switching to natural gas could unlock up to $4,050 in rebates:
Furnace/Boiler: Up to $3,800 ($2,800 + $1,000 bonus) for eligible ENERGY STAR® systems.
Fireplace Bonus: An additional $250 if you install an eligible gas fireplace simultaneously.
Wall Furnaces: Up to $1,200 ($1,000 + $200 bonus) for direct vent gas wall furnaces.
- Gas Water Heater & Fireplace: Up to $1,050 is available if an eligible gas hot water heater and fireplace are installed at the same time.
