Because our Community is our Family

Because our Community is our Family

Earlier this year CTV News published an article where we learned that “nearly 60% of Canadian families are having a hard time providing enough food for their families.”* As we continue to adapt to the ‘new normal’, we found ourselves motivated to give hope to the families who are struggling. Our community is our family so it’s important that we take care of each other. Additionally, we wanted to bring awareness to a non-profit organization who helps ensure there is fresh food and hygiene products available for those in need. As a result, Vision Plumbing Heating Cooling will be donating $20 from every AC maintenance in April and May to The Community Fridge**. Simply contact us**** to schedule an AC service you can feel good about.

Upon booking, please mention code 7006.

What is the Kelowna Community Fridge all about anyways?
The Kelowna Community Fridge is a mutual aid project located on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Syilx Okanagan Nation aimed at addressing food equity by helping those facing food insecurity access free, fresh, and nutritious food 24/7, no questions asked. The success of the Kelowna Community Fridge has inspired a Lake Country Community Fridge***, and most recently, a Penticton Community Fridge***. We invite you to look further into these wonderful organizations and spread the word about the positive impact they’ve been able to make.
