Wildfires near Summerland and Vernon are hitting close to home. Many of the people affected are our friends, our neighbours, and the clients we’ve had the privilege of serving for 40 years. Staying informed is the first step. These are the most reliable sources for live evacuation orders, fire maps, and road closures in the Kelowna, Summerland, and Vernon areas.
- EmergencyInfoBC is the provincial hub for all active evacuation orders and alerts across BC. Visit emergencyinfobc.gov.bc.ca for real-time updates.
- BC Wildfire Service provides interactive fire maps and current status on active fires including Bald Range and Bradley Creek. Check the dashboard at gov.bc.ca/wildfire-status.
- DriveBC has the latest highway and road closure information, which is critical if you are evacuating or trying to reach affected areas. Visit drivebc.ca.
Emergency Shelter & Support Services
If you or someone you know has been displaced, the following services provide emergency food, lodging, and basic needs.
- BC Emergency Support Services (ESS) coordinates emergency accommodation, food, and essentials for evacuees across the province. Visit ess.gov.bc.ca to access support or find your nearest reception centre. You can also reach the BC Evacuee Helpline at 1-800-387-4258 (extended hours: 7:30am–11:00pm during the current emergency) or the ESS Call Centre at 1-800-585-9559.
- Central Okanagan ESS (serving the Kelowna and West Kelowna area) can be reached at 1-250-763-4918.
- Regional District of North Okanagan is the primary resource for Vernon and the Westside Road area. Visit rdno.ca for local evacuation support and updates.
Animal & Pet Resources
Evacuating with animals requires planning. These resources are available for pets and livestock affected by Okanagan wildfires.

Donate at Our Shop
We are collecting donations at our Kelowna location for evacuees and families affected by the fires. We are accepting clothing, toiletries, non-perishable food, and kids’ toys and clothing. Drop-offs are welcome at our shop at 2600 Acland Road, Unit 8, Kelowna. Everything collected will go directly to where it is needed.
